“No Language Can Replace Hindi” – Rekha Gupta at Hindi Pakhwada Event in Delhi
New Delhi (Uttam Hindu News): The Delhi Secretariat came alive with poetry, cultural performances, and intellectual discussions as Chief Minister Rekha Gupta inaugurated the Hindi Pakhwada 2025 celebrations. Organized by the Department of Art, Culture, and Language, the event highlighted the cultural and linguistic richness of Hindi while also emphasizing civic responsibilities.
On this occasion, Cabinet Minister Mr. Manjinder Singh Sirsa was also present. The Chief Minister said that Hindi is our language of identity and pride. “If Sanskrit is our root, then Hindi is the strong trunk from which other languages grow. Learning foreign languages is useful, but we should never feel hesitant about our own language. Just as no one can take the place of a mother, no language can replace Hindi,” she added.
During the program, the Chief Minister honored outstanding volunteers who made special contributions to the “Har Ghar Tiranga 2025” campaign. Appreciating their efforts, she said, “I am glad that people are serving the nation in their own ways. Patriotism is not only about great deeds but also about small everyday responsibilities such as maintaining cleanliness, following rules, and respecting public places.”
Emphasizing civic responsibility, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said that the cleanliness drive should not be seen as a one-day event but as a continuous duty. “Through our conduct and behavior, we must maintain a clean image of society and the nation,” she said. Citizens, she added, should not only create a list of “what to do” but also of “what not to do” and follow it with discipline.
The CM also expressed gratitude to poets, writers, and cultural participants, emphasizing that “language and culture are the threads that keep India united and strong.”
