Ayodhya (The Uttam Hindu): Prime Minister Narendra Modi received a grand welcome on his arrival in Ayodhya today. He will perform the Dharma Dhwajarohan ceremony at the top of the Ram Temple. Before this, PM Modi and RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat offered prayers together at the Ram Darbar for the first time and performed Aarti, followed by a visit to Ram Lalla. The Prime Minister also brought special robes and a ceremonial fan for Ram Lalla. He then prayed at the Sapt Mandir complex.

These seven temples are dedicated to Maharishi Vashishtha, Maharishi Vishwamitra, Maharishi Agastya, Maharishi Valmiki, Devi Ahilya, Nishadraj Guh, and Mata Shabari. All of them played significant roles in the life of Lord Ram, and their presence in the temple complex symbolizes their lasting importance and reverence.

Around 12:00 PM, PM Modi will participate in the flag-hoisting ceremony, marking the formal completion of the Ram Temple’s construction. This event holds deep cultural and spiritual significance for devotees across the country. During the Abhijit Muhurat, the Prime Minister will press a button to hoist the 2-kg saffron flag atop the 161-foot temple spire. With this moment, the Ram Temple will be considered complete.

The specially crafted flag measures 22 feet in length and 11 feet in width. Made by an expert from Ahmedabad, Gujarat, the flag weighing 2 to 3 kilograms is designed to withstand strong winds and great heights.

This event marks another important chapter in Ayodhya’s ongoing cultural revival. Leaders have said that the flag represents not only religious devotion but also India’s ancient civilization and rich cultural heritage. Earlier, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath welcomed the Prime Minister at Saket College helipad. PM Modi then proceeded toward the temple, greeted by a massive roadshow.

Large crowds stood along the route, waving the Tricolour, BJP flags, and banners with symbols of Lord Ram. The city echoed with chants of “Jai Shri Ram” and “Modi-Modi.” As the Prime Minister’s convoy moved from Saket College toward the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple, people showered flowers, showcasing their excitement for this historic moment.
