New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu) – The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has achieved a major breakthrough in the investigation into the November 10th blast near the Red Fort Metro station in Delhi. The agency has arrested four more key suspects in the case, bringing the total number of arrests to six.

A press note issued by the NIA on Thursday stated that the investigating agency detained these four accused from Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir. They were arrested on production warrants issued by the District Sessions Judge of Patiala House Court. The accused arrested by the agency have been identified as Dr. Muzammil Shakeel Ganai (Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir), Dr. Adeel Ahmed Rather (Anantnag, Jammu and Kashmir), Dr. Shaheen Saeed (Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh), and Mufti Irfan Ahmed Wagay (Shopian, Jammu and Kashmir).

According to the NIA's preliminary investigation, all these accused played a key role in planning and executing the terrorist attack in Delhi, which resulted in the death of several innocent people and serious injuries to many others.

The agency had previously arrested two other suspects. The arrested suspects include Amir Rashid Ali, in whose name the car used in the blast was registered, and Jasir Bilal Wani alias Danish, who provided technical support to the terrorist. The interrogation of these two suspects is ongoing, and the NIA is conducting a thorough investigation into the entire terrorist module.

The investigation into the attack was handed over to the NIA by the Union Home Ministry. Since then, the agency, in collaboration with police in various states, has been working rapidly to locate and bring to justice every member of the module. The NIA says it continues its efforts to unravel the full extent of this horrific terrorist plot and reach its mastermind.
