Delhi's Mandoli Jail Shocker: Gangster Salman Tyagi Found Dead, Hanging in Cell
New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): A big gangster Salman Tyagi, lodged in the highly secure Mandoli jail of the capital Delhi, has died under suspicious circumstances. His body was found hanging from a sheet noose inside his cell in jail number 15. Salman Tyagi was a notorious criminal of West Delhi and dozens of criminal cases like murder, robbery and extortion were registered against him. The police has taken the body into custody and started investigating whether it is a suicide or there is a conspiracy behind it.
According to the police, Salman Tyagi was also facing a case under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) and was in jail in this case. The news of his death has created a stir in the jail administration. The police have sent the body for post-mortem and are waiting for the report, which will reveal the real cause of death.
Salman Tyagi once worked for Delhi-NCR's big gangster Neeraj Bawana. But later when he saw Lawrence Bishnoi's dominance increasing in the world of crime, he changed sides and started trying to join Lawrence's gang.
Last year, while in jail, Salman carried out a major incident to please Lawrence Bishnoi and Kala Jathedi. He had his shooters shoot two businessmen in Rajouri Garden in West Delhi for a ransom of Rs 50 lakh. Later, the Crime Branch of Delhi Police arrested two sharp shooters named Deepanshu and Moinuddin, who confessed during interrogation that they had fired at the behest of Salman Tyagi. Tyagi had promised the shooters that after carrying out this incident, they would get entry into the Lawrence gang.
