Amroha (The Uttam Hindu): A tragic road accident took place late Wednesday night on National Highway-9 in Amroha, Uttar Pradesh, where four people traveling in a car lost their lives. The speeding car crashed into a stationary DCM truck parked on the roadside. All four occupants of the car were reportedly doctors from a university. The accident occurred between Rajabpur and Atarasi.

According to the information, near Atarasi in the Rajabpur police station area, the fast-moving car rammed into the parked DCM with such force that the vehicle was completely crushed. All four victims died on the spot. The deceased are said to be doctor-students from Shri Venkateshwara University. The accident happened at around 10 PM near a flyover while they were returning from Meerut to Ghaziabad. After the collision, the DCM driver fled from the scene. It is suspected that due to darkness, the car driver may not have seen the stationary vehicle on the roadside.

Police teams reached the spot after receiving the information and removed the bodies trapped inside the car before sending them for post-mortem. A crane was used to clear the damaged vehicles from the road. Police are investigating the cause of the accident. Notably, several such accidents have occurred in the past due to trucks parked carelessly along highways, and despite action against truck drivers, such incidents continue.
