Woman BMW driver arrested in death of finance ministry officer, culpable homicide case filed
New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Delhi Police has taken major action in the case of the death of senior Finance Ministry official Navjot Singh in a tragic BMW car accident near Delhi Cantonment Metro Station. Police has arrested the accused BMW car driver Gaganpreet Kaur. According to the information, as soon as the accused woman was discharged from the hospital after treatment, the police immediately took her into custody.
The police have registered a case of culpable homicide against the accused woman in this case. It is worth mentioning that in this horrific accident that took place on Sunday afternoon, 52-year-old Navjot Singh, posted as Deputy Secretary in the Department of Economic Affairs of the Finance Ministry, died while his wife was seriously injured. At the time of the accident, the husband and wife, residents of Hari Nagar were returning home after visiting Bangla Sahib Gurudwara.
Meanwhile, the son of the deceased Navjot Singh has made a serious allegation. He has said that if his father had been admitted to a nearby hospital after the accident instead of being taken to a hospital located 20 kilometers away, perhaps his life could have been saved.
