Patna (The Uttam Hindu): The Election Commission has taken cognizance of RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav's claim that his name is not in the draft voter list of Bihar and has issued a notice seeking details of the EPIC number (RAB2916120) he shared. According to the Election Commission, the EPIC number mentioned by the leader is not in the records.

Investigation Underway

The Election Registration Officer of Digha assembly constituency has conducted a preliminary investigation and found that the voter ID card number mentioned by the RJD leader was not officially issued. The officer has asked the leader to submit the original voter ID card for detailed investigation.

Allegations of Possessing Two EPIC Cards

The District Magistrate has refuted the claim that the leader's voter ID number was changed, stating that the EPIC number in the voter list is the same as the one submitted in the 2020 Assembly elections affidavit. If the leader has another EPIC card with a different number, it is a matter of investigation.

Demand for Case Registration

NDA spokespersons have demanded that a case be registered against the RJD leader for allegedly possessing two EPIC cards, which is not allowed. They claim that this is a serious offense and should be investigated thoroughly.
