After winning Bigg Boss 19, Gaurav Khanna reveals why he joined the show; makes a big statement about Praneet More
Mumbai (The Uttam Hindu): Gaurav Khanna has won the Bigg Boss 19 trophy by defeating Praneet More, Farhana Bhatt, Tanya Mittal and Armaan Malik. Along with the trophy, he also took home a prize money of ₹50 lakh. After the victory, Gaurav openly spoke about his experience on the show and his bond with the other four contestants.
Gaurav appeared extremely happy after lifting the Bigg Boss trophy. In an interview with IANS, he shared the reason he decided to participate in Bigg Boss 19. He said there were two main reasons. The first was his wish to meet Salman Khan — something he never got the opportunity to do before. The second reason was his fans. They often told him that he never connects with them personally and is only seen through TV shows. He wanted them to see the real Gaurav Khanna, to understand who he is and how he behaves in real life.
Talking about his Bigg Boss 19 journey, Gaurav said the show is not just a competition but a marathon. Just like a marathon has ups and downs, moments to slow down or speed up, Bigg Boss felt the same to him. He said he completed many tasks and even won several, though his efforts were not always appreciated. But in the end, the trophy came to him. Gaurav added that he never brags about his work — it speaks for itself.
Farhana Bhatt finished as the first runner-up and gave Gaurav strong competition in the final. Praising her, Gaurav said everyone has their own style of playing the game — some move fast, some slow. However, he felt bad for Praneet More because the two shared a close friendship on the show. Gaurav said he was upset that Praneet could not make it to the top two.
“We had promised each other that we would both stand together in front of Salman sir. When he was evicted from the top five, I had tears in my eyes,” Gaurav said.
