Bengaluru (The Uttam Hindu) – Bad news is coming for fans of Karnataka's popular reality show "Bigg Boss Kannada." The State Pollution Control Board has issued an order to close the show's studio with immediate effect. Currently, Bigg Boss Kannada 12 was being shot there, but after the shutdown order, the studio will have to close immediately. Consequently, shooting will also be affected.

The Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) has issued an order to close M/s Vels Studios and Entertainment Private Limited, formerly known as Jolly Wood Studios and Adventures, located in the Bidadi Industrial Area, Ramanagara district, with immediate effect. This action was taken under Section 33(A) of the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974.

The KSPCB took this decision after the studio violated several regulations. These primarily included operating without valid permits, disposing of untreated wastewater, and improper waste management. Board officials stated that the studio had failed to comply with regulations and continued to pollute despite numerous inspections and warnings. In such circumstances, shutting down the studio was the only option. Jolly Wood Studios is currently hosting Bigg Boss Kannada Season 12. The KSPCB order is likely to disrupt the shooting. The board has directed that the studio be closed with immediate effect, the Deputy Commissioner of Ramanagara seal the studio premises, and BESCOM be asked to immediately disconnect the power supply.

A KSPCB official said the decision was necessary to prevent pollution and violation of regulations. He explained that the studio did not follow environmental guidelines set by the board and continued to operate illegally.
