Dream Come True: Fatima Sana Shaikh's Films Hit Theaters, Big Posters
Mumbai (The Uttam Hindu): Actress Fatima Sana Shaikh's two films 'Metro In Dinon' and 'Aap Jaisa Koi' were released recently. In an emotional post on social media, Sana said that seeing herself on big posters and screens in theatres still feels like a dream.
Sharing the post on Instagram, Fatima called it a 'love letter'. Fatima wrote in the caption, "Never thought that 'Metro In Dinon' and 'Aap Jaisa Koi' would release together and both would get so much love." She expressed gratitude for the love she is receiving from the audience and said, "I am overwhelmed, grateful, and still absorbing this happiness. It is like a dream to see myself on big posters and screen."
She thanked directors Anurag Basu and Vivek Soni, saying that both of them challenged her, guided her and filled her heart with love. Fatima wrote, "Thank you for your love, this beautiful journey and truly understanding me."
'Metro In Dinon' brings to the screen the difficulties of modern relationships, with stories of love, heartbreak and human relationships. Directed by Anurag Basu, the film stars Fatima Sana Shaikh along with stars like Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Ali Fazal, Pankaj Tripathi, Konkana Sen Sharma, Anupam Kher and Neena Gupta in important roles.
This film is a sequel to Anurag Basu's 2007 film 'Life in a... Metro', which touches upon topics like marriage, love and relationships. At the same time, actor R. Madhavan is in the lead role along with Fatima in 'Aap Jaisa Koi'. The actor is playing the role of a simple Sanskrit professor Srirenu Tripathi in this film, while Fatima is playing the role of a French teacher Madhu Bose.
