FIR Lodged Against Film Producer and Actor Over Sexual Harassment of this Actress

Shalimar(The Uttam Hindu):  A 25-year-old woman from Gautam Buddha Nagar, who works as an actress in Haryanvi songs and films, has filed a First Information Report (FIR) at the Shalimar Garden police station against a Haryanvi film producer and actor. The complaint includes allegations of rape, sexual harassment, criminal intimidation and violations under the SC/ST Act.

According to the victim, she met the accused in August 2020 during a professional collaboration on a music album. Their interactions soon turned personal, and the accused allegedly began promising her fame in the Haryanvi film industry and a lead role in upcoming films.

The actress has alleged that the accused called her multiple times to a residence in the DLF Colony area and to a farmhouse, where she was forcibly made to consume alcohol and sexually assaulted. When she resisted, she was allegedly manipulated with assurances of a successful career and marriage.

She claims that in 2023, she was again taken to the accused's farmhouse in Amroha under the pretext of a lead role in a song and was again sexually exploited. According to the FIR, the accused continued to exploit her from August 2020 to November 2023 with repeated false promises of marriage and leading roles in films.

The complaint also alleges that during film shoots, she was made to stay in a room with the accused, only to later discover she was given minor roles rather than the promised leads.

ACP Shalimar Garden Atul Kumar Singh says that on the complaint of the victim, a report has been filed against Uttam Kumar and investigation is being done.
