Goldy Brar gang’s plot to kill Bigg Boss winner Munawar foiled by Delhi Police

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): The Delhi Police Special Cell has foiled a major plot to assassinate "Bigg Boss 17" winner and stand-up comedian Munawar Farooqui. Following a shootout, police arrested two Haryana criminals in injured condition. They are said to be shooters for the foreign-based gangsters Rohit Godara and Goldy Brar, who were contracted to kill Farooqui.


Delhi Police received intelligence that two shooters from the Rohit Godara gang were in the New Friends Colony area of Delhi, planning a major crime. Acting on this information, the police cordoned off the area and attempted to apprehend them. Finding themselves surrounded, the criminals opened fire on the police team. In retaliation, the police returned fire, hitting the two criminals in the legs, after which they were apprehended.


The arrested accused have been identified as Sahil, a resident of Bhiwani, Haryana, and Rahul, a resident of Panipat. According to police, Rahul is also wanted in a triple murder case that occurred in Yamunanagar, Haryana, in 2024. Both are currently undergoing treatment in hospital. Police also recovered weapons and a motorcycle from the scene.


Police interrogation has revealed a sensational revelation: these two shooters were tasked with killing Munawar Farooqui by gangsters Rohit Godara, Goldy Brar, and Virender Charan. To this end, they also conducted recce of Farooqui in Mumbai and Bengaluru. According to police, Munawar Farooqui is a target of Lawrence Bishnoi and his associates due to some of his controversial statements. Police are now interrogating the two shooters to uncover the gang's entire network.
