Gulshan Kumar Murder Case: Former IPS Officer Makes Important Revelations After 28 Years
Mumbai (Uttam Hindu News)- Exactly 28 years ago on 12 August 1997, the Indian music industry suffered a setback from which it has not fully recovered till date. Gulshan Kumar, the country's most successful music producer and founder of T-Series, was shot dead in broad daylight. Regarding this sensational murder, former IPS officer PK Jain has shared his memories and made many important revelations.
PK Jain said that Gulshan Kumar used to receive ransom and threatening calls many times during his career. He was warned even before the murder, but he did not take these threats seriously. Mumbai Police had also provided him a gunman for security, but unfortunately on the day of the murder, the gunman was not with him for some reason. Taking advantage of this, two attackers fired bullets at him outside the temple.
He further said, "Both the accused were doing recce of Gulshan Kumar for about a month. On the day they attacked, there was no one with Gulshan Kumar." The former officer said that at that time two major angles were in front of the police. First, bitterness of musician Nadeem Saifi, there was allegedly tension in business relations between Nadeem and Gulshan Kumar. It was said that T-Series did not give importance to Nadeem, due to which he got angry and hatched a conspiracy to murder. It was also alleged that Nadeem also gave money to D Gang for this. And the second angle is related to Dawood Ibrahim. Gulshan Kumar was being asked for extortion every month but he had clearly refused it.
He further said that after the murder, Nadeem Saifi fled to London. The Indian government tried to bring him back, but the UK court refused to extradite him to India. Nadeem claimed in the court that, "Mumbai Police is trying to frame me, so I should not be sent to India. Although some of the accused were punished and they also confessed their crime, but the real accused of this murder are still out." Let us tell you that on 12 August 1997, 16 bullets were fired at Gulshan Kumar outside the Jiteshvar Mahadev temple, due to which he died.
