Renowned Actor and Comedian Passes Away at 71 After Battle with Cancer
Chennai(The Uttam Hindu): Renowned Tamil actor and comedian Madan Bob has passed away at the age of 71 in Chennai on August 2, leaving fans and the film industry in deep mourning. According to family sources, the actor had been battling cancer for a long time and breathed his last at his residence.
Madan Bob, a household name in Tamil Nadu, was known for his versatility in comedy and acting, as well as his contributions to television and music. His career spanned decades, during which he shared screen space with South Indian superstars like Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Vijay, Ajith, and Suriya. He also served as a judge on the popular comedy reality show 'Asatha Povathu Yaaru' on Sun TV.
Beyond acting, Madan Bob was also an accomplished musician. He began his film journey with Balu Mahendra’s 'Neengal Kettavai' (1984) and went on to star in several memorable films including 'Thiruda Thiruda', 'Thevar Magan', 'Chachi 420', 'Friends', 'Vasool Raja MBBS', 'Sura', and 'Kannukkul Nilavu'. His final appearance was in the 2019 film 'Market Raja MBBS'.
