Mumbai (The Uttam Hindu): The song "Sarke Chunar Teri Sarke" from the film "KD: The Devil" continues to spark controversy. Major organizations within the film industry are now openly protesting the song. The All India Cine Workers Association (AICWA) has taken a strong stance against the song and demanded its immediate ban.

The AICWA wrote an official letter to Prasoon Joshi, Chairman of the Central Board of Film Certification, expressing strong objection to the song "Sarke Chunar Teri Sarke." The association stated that the song contains obscene and double-meaning content that is detrimental to the image of Indian cinema. Such content should not be accepted under any circumstances.

The AICWA has also appealed to the government to intervene in this matter. They have demanded that Information and Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnav enact strict regulations to curb the increasing obscene content in films and songs. They believe that if this issue is not controlled in time, it could have a detrimental effect on society, especially the youth.

The association has demanded that the song be immediately removed from all platforms and banned completely. They also demanded that the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) re-examine the film. Furthermore, they have demanded that an FIR be filed against the producer and those associated with the song. The AICWA also expressed suspicion that this controversy may have been deliberately created for publicity, and therefore, it should be investigated.

The controversy began as soon as the song was released. The song features Nora Fatehi and Sanjay Dutt. The lyrics, written by Raqib Alam, were criticized by social media users as obscene. The controversy escalated further when the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) issued a notice in the matter. Lawyer Vineet Jindal also filed a complaint against the song, demanding a ban.
