Mumbai (The Uttam Hindu): The Economic Offenses Wing (EOW) has intensified the investigation against actress Shilpa Shetty and her husband Raj Kundra in an alleged fraud case of Rs 60 crore. Raj Kundra was summoned for questioning in this case. An official statement issued by the Mumbai Police said, "Investigation is going on in the alleged fraud case of 60 crores against actress Shilpa Shetty and her husband Raj Kundra. The Economic Offenses Wing had sent summons to Raj Kundra and he was questioned. His statement has been recorded and he will be called again for questioning next week. "

In the case, businessman Deepak Kothari has alleged that Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra together defrauded him of Rs 60 crore. He claims that he had given money to Raj Kundra between 2015 and 2023 in the name of business expansion but later he came to know that this amount was not used in business but the couple used it for personal expenses. After the complaint, the police registered a case and started investigation.

Meanwhile, a new discussion started about Shilpa Shetty. It is being said that her Bandra-based restaurant 'Bastion' is going to close. After this news, rumors spread on social media. However, Shilpa Shetty immediately clarified this and issued an official statement. She said, "No, I am not closing Bastian. I got a lot of calls, but these are just rumors."

She further said that she is going to launch two new restaurants through Bastian, one of which is 'Ammakai', which will serve pure South Indian Mangalorean food and the other is 'Bastion Beach Club', which will open in Juhu. The purpose of launching new restaurants is to give new flavors and experiences to the people.
