Renowned Actor Found Dead in Hotel Room, Mourning Grips Film Fraternity
Mumbai (The Uttam Hindu): A very sad news has come from the Malayalam film industry. Famous actor, mimicry artist and singer Kalabhavan Navas was found dead in a hotel room in Chottanikkara. 51-year-old Navas was staying in that hotel for the shooting of a film.
According to the information, Navas was to check out of the hotel on Friday, but when he did not come out of the room by the stipulated time, the hotel staff became suspicious. The staff first knocked on the door, but there was no response from inside. After this, when the door was opened, Navas was found unconscious. The hotel staff immediately informed the police and he was taken to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
The police have started investigating the incident and according to preliminary reports, heart attack is believed to be the cause of Navas' death. However, the police say that the final confirmation will be made only after the postmortem report. As soon as the news of Navas' death was received, a wave of mourning has spread across the entire Malayalam film industry. Fans and artists on social media have expressed deep grief over his untimely death. In this episode, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan condoled the death of the actor and said, "Kalabhavan Navas' art has enriched the Malayalam cultural world. His death is an irreparable loss."
Kalabhavan Navas made a significant contribution to Malayalam cinema. He was not only famous as a funny mimicry artist, but his acting talent and singing also impressed the audience. Talking about his personal life, the family includes wife Rehana Navas, who is an actress. The couple got married in 2002 and have three children Nahrin, Rehan, and Ridwan.
