Mumbai (The Uttam Hindu): These days, Bollywood celebrities are earning big money by investing in real estate, in addition to films and songs. Renowned singer Sonu Nigam has now joined the bandwagon. Sonu Nigam has rented out one of his commercial properties near Mumbai's prime Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), earning him lakhs of rupees every month.

Rent of Rs 19 lakh per month and deposit of Rs 90 lakh

This property of Sonu Nigam is located in 'Trade Centre BKC' in Santacruz East area of ​​Mumbai, which is spread over 4,257 square feet. The singer has given it on lease for 5 years. As per the deal, the rent for the first year has been fixed at Rs 19 lakh per month. The tenant has deposited a huge security amount of Rs 90 lakh with Sonu Nigam. To give legal form to this agreement, stamp duty of Rs 3.27 lakh and registration fee of Rs 1,000 has been paid. This deal has been registered in December 2025.

Rent will increase every year, earning of Rs 12 crore in 5 years

This rent agreement has been locked for 5 years. The agreement also includes a condition of annual increase in rent. Initially the rent is Rs 19 lakh, which will increase every year. By the fifth year this rent will increase to Rs 23.15 lakh per month. It is estimated that Sonu Nigam will earn a total of Rs 12.62 crore from this 5 year contract.

Location is a huge advantage

Sonu Nigam's property is located in Santacruz East, a booming business hub. Its biggest advantage is its connectivity. It's close to the Western Express Highway, the Metro, local trains, and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport. With major corporate hubs like BKC, Kalina, and Andheri nearby, property demand and rents remain high.
