I wanted to Tell People an Inspirational Story through the Film 'Tanvi the Great': Anupam Kher
Mumbai (The Uttam Hindu): Actor Anupam Kher is busy promoting his upcoming film 'Tanvi the Great'. Meanwhile, a special premiere of the film was held in Delhi, in which Chief Minister Rekha Gupta was also present.
Kher shared some glimpses of it on social media. In a video posted on Instagram, Kher was seen talking about his purpose of making the film.
He said, "I want to tell you a little about this film, why this film is important in today's time. I was thinking what kind of inspirational story should I tell that can inspire people to change something, but in today's time, only an autistic girl can teach us about goodness."
"The curtains rose and so did hearts as people came out to witness the magic of Tanvi The Great. Delhi came out in droves, got emotional and stood in silence. In the presence of Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, Nobel Laureate Kailash Satyarthi, Shekhar Kapur, Ravi Shankar Prasad and celebrities like Sanjay Jaju, the story of this film was accepted with great respect and love. Tanvi The Great is releasing in cinemas this Friday," Kher wrote in the post.
During the screening of 'Tanvi The Great', all the audience present stood up and applauded the film.
The Chief Minister praised the film and said that every child should watch it. She said, "I congratulate Anupam Kher for making such a beautiful film based on special children. Every moment of this film was so emotional that it cannot be described in words. This is a film that every child in the country and the world should watch today. On behalf of the Delhi Government, we would like to show this inspirational, heart-touching and patriotic film to as many children as possible."
Along with Anupam Kher and Iain Glen, the film also stars Shubhangi Dutt, Jackie Shroff, Arvind Swami, Boman Irani, Pallavi Joshi, Karan Tacker and Nasser in pivotal roles. The film will release on July 18.
