Veteran Actor Dharmendra, 89, Admitted to Hospital for Routine Checkup; Fans Express Concern

Mumbai (The Uttam Hindu): Bollywood veteran Dharmendra has been admitted to Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital. Reports suggest that the 89-year-old actor is undergoing a routine medical checkup, but the news has sparked concern among his fans.

As soon as the news broke, social media was flooded with speculations about his health. However, sources close to the family confirmed that there is nothing serious and Dharmendra is perfectly fine. They clarified that he was admitted only for a regular health evaluation related to age.

Dharmendra’s team also stated that the actor undergoes medical checkups at regular intervals to monitor his health, given his age. A few weeks ago, he was also seen visiting the hospital for the same reason. The actor is reported to be in good spirits, healthy, and smiling.

On the work front, Dharmendra made a grand comeback with Karan Johar’s film “Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani”, where his performance and even a kissing scene surprised his fans.

He will next be seen in Sriram Raghavan’s film “Ikkis”, where he plays the role of Agastya Nanda’s grandfather. The film is based on the real-life story of Arun Khetarpal, a war hero who was posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra for his bravery during the 1971 Indo-Pak war.
