Prime Minister Rozgar Mela organised in Sonipat; appointment letters distributed to selected youth for government services
Sonipat(The Uttam Hindu): In furtherance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s commitment to provide government employment to the youth of the country, the 18th edition of the Prime Minister Rozgar Mela was organised at the national level on 24 January 2026 (Saturday). On this occasion, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, by pressing a remote button, distributed appointment letters to 61,656 selected candidates, including over 8,000 women, across 45 locations nationwide for various government departments.
As part of this initiative, a programme was also organised at the Group Centre, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Khewra, Sonipat, where 103 candidates, selected for various posts particularly in paramilitary forces and other central government departments, were handed over appointment letters.
The programme was telecast live at the CRPF Group Centre, Khewra. Union Minister of State for Cooperation, Government of India, Shri Krishan Pal Gurjar, attended the event as the Chief Guest and distributed appointment letters to the selected candidates.
During the Rozgar Mela held at various locations across the country, the address of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi was telecast live. On this occasion, Union Minister of State Shri Krishan Pal Gurjar stated that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has consistently emphasised employment generation, innovation, use of technology and keeping citizens at the centre of economic development.
Newly appointed candidates are also being provided training through the ‘Karmayogi Prarambh’ online module on the iGOT Karmayogi portal, which offers more than 1,588 e-learning courses. This training will equip the recruits with the necessary skills to perform their roles effectively and contribute towards building a Viksit Bharat.
On the occasion, Deputy Inspector General of Police, CRPF Group Centre Khewra, Shri Ajit Sangwan, welcomed the Union Minister of State and encouraged the newly appointed youth. The event was also attended by Shri Amit Kumar, Commandant–220 Battalion; Shri Daljeet Singh Bhati, Second-in-Command; Shri Vedpal, Deputy Commandant, and other officers. The Union Minister appreciated the CRPF Group Centre, Sonipat, for the successful and grand organisation of the programme.
