Sonipat University Shock: Peon Attempts Rape on Student, Police Launch Probe

Sonipat (The Uttam Hindu): A shocking case of attempted rape has surfaced at Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University in Murthal, Sonipat. According to reports, a peon employed at the university allegedly tried to sexually assault a student. Acting on the complaint of the victim, the police have registered a case and begun an investigation.

The student stated in her complaint that the peon forcibly entered the bathroom, grabbed her hands, and tried to gag her. He then attempted to touch her private parts and rape her. However, the student somehow managed to free herself and escape. She immediately informed the police about the incident. Following her statement, Murthal Police registered an FIR under multiple sections and launched a detailed probe.

ACP Nidhi Nain informed the media that a student has accused a university peon of attempting rape. Police have registered a case under relevant sections and further investigation is underway.
