Massive fire tears through Arki market in Himachal, 7-year-old dies and nine missing

Solan (The Uttam Hindu): A massive fire broke out late Sunday night in Arki Bazaar of Solan district of Himachal Pradesh. The fire engulfed a family of Nepali origin. In this tragic incident, the body of a 7-year-old child has been recovered, while 9 to 9 others are feared to be buried under the debris. The cause of the fire is said to be the Nepali family taking a burning stove inside the house, after which the fire took a severe form due to the explosion of six to seven cylinders.

Rescue operations are underway to evacuate the trapped and provide relief. According to preliminary information, the primary cause of the fire is believed to be the family carrying a burning stove into the house at night. Sparks from the stove may have ignited gas cylinders stored in the house, causing six to seven cylinders to explode. This explosion multiplied the severity of the fire.
