New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu) - An Air India international flight from Delhi to Singapore was forced to return to Delhi shortly after takeoff due to a technical problem. The flight was carrying approximately 190 passengers.

According to sources, the Dreamliner aircraft operating on this route came under scrutiny due to a technical alert. According to reports, a fire warning was received in the aircraft's APU (auxiliary power unit). The flight subsequently returned to Delhi airport after being airborne for approximately an hour.

Safe landing, passengers provided alternative arrangements

The aircraft landed safely in Delhi. After this, Air India arranged for the passengers to be sent to Singapore by another aircraft. The ground staff present at the airport provided necessary assistance to the passengers. An Air India spokesperson said that on January 14, the operating crew of flight AI 2380 from Delhi to Singapore decided to return as a precautionary measure after receiving a suspicious technical signal soon after takeoff. The spokesperson said, "The aircraft landed safely in Delhi. Our ground team provided all necessary facilities to the passengers and the flight was diverted to Singapore by another aircraft." Air India also apologized for the inconvenience caused to the passengers due to this sudden situation.
