Ajit Pawar's convoy crash: 4 injured as SUV overturns, hits bike in Beed district
Mumbai (The Uttam Hindu): A horrific road accident took place on Saturday (November 22) with the convoy of Maharashtra's Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar. A speeding vehicle in the convoy of the Deputy CM went out of control and collided with a motorcycle in the Dhunkawad Phata area on the Telgaon-Dharur road in Beed district. The impact of the collision was so severe that the SUV in the convoy overturned on the road, while the entire family riding the bike was seriously injured. A total of four people have been seriously injured in this accident, one of whom is in critical condition. After the incident, there was panic at the spot and relief work was started immediately.
According to reports, Ajit Pawar was traveling via Dharur to attend an event in Latur. A four-wheeler (MH 02 GH 5732) in his convoy collided with a motorcycle near the Dhunkavad junction. The victims of the accident were identified as Vishnu Damodar Sude, his wife Kusum Sude, and their two daughters. All four were thrown onto the road and seriously injured. One of Ajit Pawar's security guards was also injured. According to eyewitnesses, the accident was so severe that the motorcycle was completely destroyed and the convoy vehicle was also badly damaged and overturned.
Immediately after the incident, a massive traffic jam occurred. With the help of locals and police, the injured were initially taken to the rural hospital in Dharur, but due to the severity of their injuries, the entire family was referred to the government hospital in Ambajogai. Initial investigations revealed that the accident occurred due to the negligence of the driver of the convoy vehicle. Police arrived at the scene, restored traffic, and have initiated the process of filing a case against the accused driver. Locals have demanded justice and strict action from the administration for the victim's family.
