Kolkata (The Uttam Hindu): The BJP on Friday released its election manifesto for the West Bengal Assembly elections. The party has named it the Bharosa Patra. Union Home Minister Amit Shah unveiled the document in Kolkata. He said it focuses on women, youth and farmers with several schemes and financial assistance. He described it as a roadmap to take Bengal out of crisis, ensure rule of law, boost employment and move towards building Sonar Bangla.

Targeting the ruling Trinamool Congress, Amit Shah said people had given multiple opportunities to Mamata Banerjee but the government failed to meet expectations. He alleged that syndicate culture, violence and infiltration have increased under the current regime. He said the manifesto aims to address farmers’ distress, create jobs for youth and ensure safety for women while restoring confidence among citizens.

Highlighting key promises, he said every woman and unemployed youth will receive Rs 3000 assistance. The party also pledged strict action against infiltration. It promised implementation of the Uniform Civil Code. Government employees will get benefits under the Seventh Pay Commission. Central schemes such as Ayushman Bharat will be expanded. Plans include support for farmers, registration of fishermen under PM Matsya Sampada Yojana and development of Bengal as an industrial and export hub. Regional languages will be included in the Eighth Schedule. Institutions like AIIMS, IITs and IIMs will be expanded in North Bengal.
