Patna (The Uttam Hindu): During election campaigning in Bihar, an incident of violence occurred in Lakhisarai, where the convoy of Deputy Chief Minister and BJP candidate Vijay Kumar Sinha was allegedly attacked. Supporters of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) reportedly threw cow dung and stones at Sinha’s vehicle.

The incident took place when Sinha was interacting with his supporters on the road. Security personnel immediately escorted him back into his vehicle and tried to move the convoy ahead, but a protesting crowd blocked the way, shouting slogans. The police had to intervene, using force to disperse the mob and clear the route.

Reacting strongly to the attack, Vijay Sinha said,

“This is RJD’s hooliganism. When the NDA comes to power, bulldozers will run over their chests. These goons won’t let candidates visit villages and even stop good Yadavs from voting. The RJD goons will face bulldozers. If this is their behavior before coming to power, imagine what they’ll do afterward. This happened around booth numbers 404 and 405.”

Earlier, Sinha had accused RJD workers of intimidating a polling agent in the Halsi block. He stated that overall voting was peaceful but added, “Some people still carry the mindset of booth capturing.”
