Divine sight in Ayodhya as Surya Tilak of Ram Lalla captivates devotees

Ayodhya (The Uttam Hindu): A grand and historic moment was witnessed in Ramnagari Ayodhya on the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami, when devotees experienced a divine sight of Surya Tilak on Ram Lalla in the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple. Thousands of devotees present in the temple complex celebrated with joy and devotion as the sun rays appeared to anoint the forehead of Lord Ram.

At around 11:50 am the sun emerged despite changing weather conditions and at exactly 12 noon its rays aligned precisely with Ram Lalla’s forehead. The Surya Tilak continued for nearly five minutes, creating an atmosphere of deep spiritual fervour as devotees sang devotional hymns and celebrated the moment with enthusiasm. The event was also broadcast on large LED screens across the temple premises for devotees gathered outside.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also marked the occasion by extending greetings on Ram Navami and virtually witnessing the Surya Tilak ceremony. He said that the ideals of Lord Ram continue to inspire humanity and guide the path towards righteousness and national progress.

The Surya Tilak is being seen as a remarkable blend of science and faith. The system behind this precise alignment was developed by experts from leading scientific institutions including ISRO, the Central Building Research Institute Roorkee and the Indian Institute of Astrophysics Bengaluru under the guidance of the Ministry of Science and Technology.
