After Delhi, Another Major City on Edge—40 Schools Hit by Chilling Bomb Threat Emails!
Kengeri(The Uttam Hindu): Bengaluru was rocked by panic on Friday after more than 40 private schools received bomb threats via email. Schools in RR Nagar, Kengeri, and other areas were among those targeted. Soon after the alert, police teams and bomb disposal squads rushed to the affected campuses and began thorough inspections. So far, no explosives have been found, but the search operations are ongoing.
According to Bengaluru police, the threatening emails were sent early Friday morning. Security protocols were immediately activated, with bomb squads scanning all suspected locations and heightened security measures enforced. Authorities are now trying to trace the source of these emails. Parents are being allowed entry into school premises under strict guidelines to ensure safety.
Interestingly, a similar incident unfolded in Delhi just a day earlier, where over 20 schools received identical bomb threat emails. Delhi Police, along with bomb squads and fire brigades, quickly secured the schools and evacuated students to safe locations. Investigators noted that the timing and language of these emails in both Bengaluru and Delhi are strikingly similar, raising suspicions of a coordinated attempt to spread fear.
While no explosives have been discovered so far in either city, both Bengaluru and Delhi police remain on high alert. Security has been tightened around schools, and cybercrime units are working to uncover the origins of this terror scare. Officials have urged parents and students to stay calm as the situation remains under control.
