Bihar Exit Polls 2025: NDA Set for Comeback, INDI Alliance Trails Behind

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Voting for the Bihar Assembly elections concluded on Tuesday with the second phase, and the state now awaits the results on November 14, when it will be clear who will form the next government. Meanwhile, several exit polls have been released, all pointing towards a clear majority for the NDA once again, while the opposition INDI alliance seems to be facing setbacks.

According to the IANS–Matterize Exit Poll, the NDA is projected to win between 147–167 seats out of 243, while the INDI alliance may secure 70–90 seats.

Chanakya Strategies Poll

The Chanakya Strategies poll also predicts a win for the NDA, projecting 130–138 seats for the alliance, 100–108 seats for the INDI bloc, and 3–5 seats for others.

Polls of Polls Summary

The combined average of three exit polls shows the NDA gaining 138–155 seats, the INDI alliance getting 82–98 seats, Jan Suraaj with 0–2 seats, and others expected to win 3–7 seats.

People's Insight Exit Poll

The People’s Insight survey also indicates an NDA victory, estimating 133–148 seats for the alliance, 87–102 seats for the INDI bloc, 0–2 seats for Jan Suraaj, and 3–6 seats for others.

JVC Exit Poll

The JVC poll shows the NDA with a strong majority of 135–150 seats, the INDI alliance with 88–103, and others with 3–6 seats.

Vote Share Estimates by IANS–Matterize

The RJD is expected to secure 21% of votes, Congress 7%, CPI (ML) 6%, CPI 1%, CPM 1%, and VIP 1%. Jan Suraaj, led by Prashant Kishor, may get 5%, while AIMIM and others could get 1% and 9%, respectively.

For the NDA, the BJP may bag 65–73 seats, JD(U) 67–75, HAM(S) 4–5, LJP (Ram Vilas) 7–9, and RLM (Upendra Kushwaha) 1–2.

Within the INDI alliance, RJD is projected to win 53–58, Congress 10–12, CPI(ML) 5–8, CPI 2–3, CPM 2–3, and VIP 1–4 seats. AIMIM could win 2–3, Jan Suraaj 0–2, and others 0–5.

Vote Share Summary

The NDA is projected to receive 48% of the total votes, while the INDI alliance is expected to secure 37%.

Among NDA partners: JD(U) is likely to get 20%, BJP 19%, LJP (Ram Vilas) 5%, HAM(S) 2%, and RLM 2%.

The IANS–Matterize exit poll was conducted between November 6 and 11, surveying 66,087 voters including 31,722 men, 19,165 women, and 15,200 youth with a margin of error of ±3%.

Voting for Bihar’s 243 assembly seats took place in two phases 121 seats on November 6 and 122 seats on November 11. The results will be declared on November 14.
