Kaushambi (The Uttam Hindu): A shocking incident has come to light from Kaushambi district of Uttar Pradesh, where a newlywed woman was found dead on a railway track just eight days after her marriage. The dismembered body created panic in the area. The woman had recently returned to her in-laws’ house after visiting her parents. She went missing on Sunday evening, and her body was discovered the next morning.

Police have begun an investigation, while the victim’s family members are in deep shock and mourning.

What Happened?

The tragic case took place in the Sandipan Ghat police station area of Kaushambi. On Monday morning, locals spotted the mutilated body of a young bride near the Mardhara unmanned railway crossing. Police were immediately informed, and the body was identified as that of Rinki Devi.

Rinki had married Deshraj, a resident of Seeriyawan Kala village in Charwa police station limits, on November 2. Reports suggest that the marriage was arranged without Rinki’s consent. Family members alleged that she was unhappy with the marriage because she did not approve of her husband’s appearance.

How Did She Go Missing?

According to sources, Rinki had returned from her parental home to her in-laws’ house just a few days earlier. A post-wedding ritual called Thavan was soon to take place. However, on Sunday evening, she suddenly went missing without informing anyone.

Family members searched for her throughout the night but found no trace. On Monday morning, locals discovered her body on the railway track and informed the police. Both her in-laws and parents rushed to the scene, devastated by the sight. Police have taken the body for post-mortem and initiated further inquiry to determine the cause of death.
