Budget 2026 plans AIIMS-style Ayurvedic hospitals across India
New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is presenting Budget 2026 in the Lok Sabha. During this, the Finance Minister has emphasized on Ayurveda in the budget. She said that 3 new Ayurvedic hospitals like AIIMS will be built. Emphasis will be laid on making veterinary doctors. Along with this, the government will also provide subsidy for veterinary treatment. This can prove to be a big step in the field of animal health. Along with this, making a big announcement in the field of education, the Finance Minister said, 5 university townships will be established near big industrial and logistics corridors. At the same time, a women's hostel will also be built in every district.
"India Semiconductor Mission 2.0" to be launched
Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said, "We will launch the 'India Semiconductor Mission 2.0.' Along with this, we will also focus on industry-led research and training centers to develop technology and a skilled workforce. I also propose to launch a dedicated initiative for research and manufacturing of high-quality sports equipment."

in 'challenge mode.' I also propose to launch the 'Mahatma Gandhi Gram Swaraj' initiative to strengthen khadi and handloom."
