Private bus crashes into truck, three burnt alive in horrific accident
Nandyal (The Uttam Hindu): Three people were killed and four passengers were injured in a tragic road accident late Thursday night in Nandyal district of Andhra Pradesh. Four passengers suffered minor fractures and were admitted to the Nandyal Government Hospital. According to information, Nandyal SP Sunil Sheoran said that a private bus going from Nellore to Hyderabad met with the accident between 1 and 2 am. The front right tyre of the private bus burst, due to which the driver lost control. The bus went out of control and crossed the road divider and went to the other side of the road, where it collided with an oncoming truck.
After the collision, both the bus and the lorry caught fire, completely engulfing them. Meanwhile, the road was blocked. However, upon receiving information, a police team arrived at the scene. They rescued the passengers and restored traffic. With the help of local residents, the police broke the bus doors and windows and safely evacuated all the passengers. According to reports, there were 36 passengers on the bus, all of whom are safe. Four passengers were admitted to the Nandyal District Hospital with minor fractures.
However, the bus driver, lorry driver, and cleaner died in the accident. Police took possession of the bodies of the three and sent them to the hospital for post-mortem. RFCL and FCL teams from Kurnool also arrived at the scene. An investigation is underway to determine whether the fire was caused by a direct impact or battery-related problems. However, no official information has been released yet. Police are currently investigating further investigations.
