Action in Chandan Mishra Murder Case: 5 Policemen Suspended for Negligence
Patna (The Uttam Hindu): Major action has been taken in the sensational murder case of gangster Chandan Mishra in Paras HMRI Hospital, Patna. Five policemen have been suspended on charges of negligence in duty. At the same time, a joint team of Bihar STF and Patna Police has arrested six accused involved in this murder from West Bengal.
Let us tell you that gangster Chandan Mishra, who was on parole, was shot dead in a private ward of the hospital on Thursday. Questions were being raised on the police administration since this incident.
On Friday, a joint team of Bihar STF and Patna Police raided West Bengal and arrested six accused involved in the murder. The arrested accused are currently being interrogated in West Bengal. According to the police, after completing the legal process, they will be brought to Patna on transit remand. The name of Tausif Raza alias Badshah was the first to come up in this case. The police have also received information about the hideouts of some other accused, where raids are being conducted continuously.
On the other hand, the body of the notorious Chandan Mishra was brought to his native village Sonbarsa (Industrial Police Station area) late Thursday night. On Friday morning, his body was not cremated, but it was immersed in the Ganga river near Dera village of Beas. Earlier, his father Mantu Mishra lit the pyre, but the body was not burnt. It is being told that the family took this decision after some opposition to the cremation at the district headquarters.
