Crackdown on Infiltration: 13 Bangladeshi Nationals Held in Chhattisgarh
Raipur (The Uttam Hindu): 13 Bangladeshi citizens have been arrested in Rajnandgaon district of Chhattisgarh on charges of illegally entering India. Legal action is being taken against all of them and the process of deporting them from the country has been started soon. On this, Chhattisgarh Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma said that the Special Task Force (STF) is constantly active.
Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma said that a Special Task Force (STF) has been formed to take action against illegal intruders and a helpline number has also been issued so that citizens can report such activities. Vijay Sharma said that during raids at many places, such intruders are being identified and legal action is being taken against them.
While talking to the media, Vijay Sharma also responded to the Naxalites' claim. The Naxalites have issued a letter claiming that more than 300 Naxalites have been killed in the last one year.
On this, Vijay Sharma said, "This is not a serious issue, but the number of arrests of his comrades is much higher. The issue is not just of casualties, but that due to the strategy of the state government, the number of surrenders and arrests has reached almost 3000."
Reacting to the IED blast incident in Bijapur district, the Deputy Chief Minister said that IED has now become the biggest challenge for us. In this, not only the villagers get killed but the security forces also have to face a lot of trouble.
“Efforts are continually being made to improve IED detection and neutralisation processes to minimise this threat,” he said.
Recently, Naxalites had carried out an IED blast in Bijapur, in which some villagers were injured.
