VIDEO: Fire Breaks Out in Delhi's Hospital; Rescue via Broken Glass, One Death, 11 Injured

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): There was chaos in Delhi's Anand Vihar area when a massive fire broke out in Cosmos Hospital. Eight fire brigade vehicles reached the spot to extinguish the fire. One person died and 11 people were injured due to this fire.

The fire was so fierce that the patients were rescued by breaking the glass of the hospital. In this accident, a hospital employee died of suffocation. At present, relief and rescue work has been started on the spot. Half a dozen fire engines have been sent to the spot. 11 people have been rescued from the hospital. One of them has died. The deceased has been identified as Amit.

To evacuate people from the hospital, the rescue team used the modern machines of Delhi Police Fire Department and Fire Brigade. Due to the fire, the hospital was filled with so much smoke that the people involved in the rescue had to go inside using oxygen cylinders. Along with this, even the glass panes of the hospital were broken to rescue people. While talking, the hospital staff said that the condition was very bad. It was completely dark, people were having trouble breathing even after staying inside for a short time.
