PM Modi Meets CP Radhakrishnan, Hails His Experience for Vice President Role
New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday met NDA's Vice Presidential candidate CP Radhakrishnan. The Prime Minister congratulated him on being chosen as the NDA's Vice Presidential candidate. He said that the country will greatly benefit from Radhakrishnan's experience. Prime Minister Modi on Monday shared pictures of his meeting with Maharashtra Governor CP Radhakrishnan on the social media platform X.
He wrote, "Met CP Radhakrishnan. Congratulated him on being elected as NDA's Vice Presidential candidate. His long years of public service and experience in various fields will greatly benefit our country. I wish that he continues to serve the nation with the same dedication and perseverance that he has always shown." Earlier, PM Modi had posted on social media platform 'X' on Sunday and congratulated Radhakrishnan on being elected as NDA's Vice Presidential candidate. He wrote, "Thiru CP Radhakrishnan has distinguished himself in his long public life with his diligence, humility and wisdom. While holding various positions, he has always focused on community service and empowerment of the underprivileged.
He has done extensive work at the grassroots level in Tamil Nadu. I am happy that the NDA family has decided to nominate him as the Vice Presidential candidate of our alliance.” BJP National President and Union Minister JP Nadda announced the name of CP Radhakrishnan during a press conference on Sunday. He said, "We discussed with all the parties involved in the NDA and also sought suggestions from them. After this, everyone approved the name of CP Radhakrishnan as the NDA candidate.
He is currently the Governor of Maharashtra and hails from Tamil Nadu." Let us tell you that Chandrapur Ponnusamy Radhakrishnan was appointed to the post of Governor of Maharashtra on 31 July 2024. Earlier, he served as the Governor of Jharkhand for about one and a half years. Apart from this, he has also held the additional charge of Governor of Telangana and the additional charge of Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry.
