New Delhi(The Uttam Hindu): Panic spread across the national capital after around 20 colleges, including Jesus and Mary College in Chanakyapuri, received bomb threat emails on Tuesday. The messages claimed that explosives had been planted on the campuses and would be detonated soon.

The sudden threats created chaos as college administrations immediately alerted Delhi Police. Bomb disposal squads and dog squads were rushed to the colleges, and thorough checks were conducted.

During the initial investigation, police found the threats to be fake. According to officials, the sender had used a VPN to hide their identity, making it difficult to trace the exact source of the emails.

This is not the first time the capital has witnessed such panic. Earlier, several schools in Delhi had also received similar email threats, which later turned out to be hoaxes. However, despite repeated incidents, the police have not yet been able to identify the culprits behind these email scares.

Authorities have assured that security has been tightened, and investigations are underway in coordination with the Cyber Crime Unit to trace the origin of the latest threats.
