New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Just 10 days after the Jaish-e-Mohammed bombing in the capital, the Delhi Police Crime Branch has uncovered another major terrorist plot. Police have arrested a high-profile arms smuggling ring with direct links to the Pakistani intelligence agency ISI, China, and Turkey.

Acting swiftly on a tip-off, the Crime Branch arrested four gang members: Mandeep, Dalwinder, Rohan, and Ajay. The weapons recovered along with their arrests have stunned security agencies. A total of 10 sophisticated semi-automatic pistols and 92 live cartridges were recovered from the accused, including high-tech pistols like the Turkish-made PX-5.7 and the Chinese-made PX-3. According to police officials, these weapons are extremely dangerous and are commonly used by special forces around the world, highlighting their lethality and the seriousness of this conspiracy.

The investigation has revealed that the mastermind of this entire network is the ISI, based in Pakistan. The ISI dropped these consignments of foreign weapons from Pakistan onto the Punjab border using drones. These weapons were collected from Punjab and brought to Delhi by road. These dangerous weapons were to be supplied to gangsters and criminals in Delhi and the NCR, to cause widespread bloodshed and destruction in India.

A senior police officer stated that this syndicate is attempting to incite unrest in India. During remand, police are now attempting to extract from the accused details of previous shipments of weapons to India and the specific individuals to whom the seized consignment was intended.
