New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu) : The national capital, Delhi, was once again shaken by a bomb threat. On Sunday, bomb threats were sent via email to Delhi Airport, schools, and several institutions.

This threatening email sent security agencies into a tizzy and launched an immediate investigation. As soon as the airport and other institutions received the email, security was tightened. Bomb Disposal Squads (BDS) and dog squads were dispatched to the scene. Passenger movement at the airport was monitored. Children and staff were safely evacuated from schools and institutions. However, security agencies have not found any suspicious objects in their investigation so far. Delhi Police have also found nothing suspicious in their investigation. The police are now investigating where the email was sent from.

It should be noted that several such false bomb threats have been reported in Delhi over the past few months. Previously, on September 20th, several schools in Delhi were again threatened with bombings. The schools that received the threats included Krishna Model Public School in Najafgarh, Sarvodaya Senior Secondary School at Qutub Minar, and DPS School in Dwarka. Immediately after receiving the threats, Delhi Police and the bomb squad evacuated all the schools and conducted a thorough search of the premises.

No suspicious object was recovered from any school during this period. Similarly, on September 13th, three Max hospitals in Delhi, located in Shalimar Bagh, Dwarka, and Saket, received bomb threats. An email received by Max Hospital's central office explicitly threatened to bomb the hospital. However, this too turned out to be a hoax. A day earlier, the Delhi High Court received a threatening email. The email, clearly addressed to the Delhi Police, stated, "For example, a blast in your Delhi High Court on Friday will dispel any doubts about previous hoaxes. There will be a blast in the judge's chambers shortly after noon."
