Terror Strikes Again! Back-to-Back Bomb Threats Rock Delhi Schools, Panic Among Parents
New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Panic gripped the national capital on Wednesday morning as two prestigious schools—Vasant Valley School in South Delhi and St. Thomas School in Dwarka—received bomb threat emails. This marks the third consecutive day that schools in Delhi have been targeted with such alarming messages.
According to Delhi Police, the threatening emails arrived between 5:30 AM and 6:15 AM, warning that explosives had been planted in the school premises. Following the alert, Delhi Police, fire department, bomb disposal squad, and dog squads immediately rushed to the schools and evacuated students and staff as a precautionary measure.
So far, no suspicious objects have been found during intensive searches, but the investigation continues with heightened security. Cyber Cell teams are working to trace the origin of the emails and identify the sender.
The school administrations are closely coordinating with authorities to ensure the safety of students and staff. Parents have been urged to remain calm while security agencies remain on high alert.
This is not the first time Delhi schools have received such threats. Earlier this month, Indian Public School in South Delhi and Crescent Public School in North-West Delhi were targeted with similar hoax emails. In February, Alcon Public School in Mayur Vihar Phase-1 also received a bomb threat. Beyond Delhi, schools in Gujarat and Mumbai have also been subjected to such alarming hoaxes in recent months.
