To avenge his father, driver brutally murders 5-year-old after kidnapping him

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): A horrific incident unfolded in Delhi's Narela area on Tuesday. A transport driver, seeking revenge on his employer, kidnapped his five-year-old son and later brutally murdered him with a brick and a knife.


Police said the child's body was recovered from the rented room of the accused, Neetu. A senior police officer said the accused, Neetu is absconding and several teams have been formed to apprehend her. The officer added that the victim's father had reprimanded the accused a day earlier.


Deputy Commissioner of Police (Outer North) Hareshwar Swami said the Narela Industrial Area police station received a report of the child's kidnapping at 3:30 p.m. The officer said investigation revealed the child was playing outside his home when he suddenly disappeared. Family members and neighbors began searching for him and later, his body was found in Neetu's rented room nearby.


The DCP said, preliminary investigation revealed that the child's father, who is the complainant owns seven-eight transport vehicles and had hired two drivers named Neetu and Wasim.


"On Monday evening, the two drivers got into an argument under the influence of alcohol, during which Neetu allegedly beat up Wasim," he said. Police said that when the matter reached the transporter (the child's father), he intervened and slapped Neetu a couple of times for the misbehavior.


According to the DCP, feeling humiliated by this, Neetu kidnapped the child who was playing outside the house on Tuesday took him to his rented room and killed him with bricks and a knife.


Upon receiving information about the incident, police arrived at the scene and immediately took the child to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead. An FIR has been registered and further investigation has been initiated.


The driver, Neetu is absconding. Several teams have been formed to apprehend him. Technical surveillance and local intelligence are being used to track down the accused. We are also examining CCTV footage to trace the accused, the officer said.
