According to seismologists, the surface of our earth is mainly made up of seven large and many small tectonic plates. These plates keep moving continuously and often collide with each other. As a result of this collision, the corners of the plates can bend and they can also break due to excessive pressure. In such a situation, the energy coming out from below finds a way to spread outwards and when this energy comes out from inside the ground, an earthquake occurs.
