Vaishali (The Uttam Hindu): As soon as the Bihar Assembly elections were announced, Jan Suraj founder Prashant Kishore (PK) has landed in legal trouble. Within 24 hours of starting his election campaign from Raghopur, the stronghold of Tejashwi Yadav, a case has been registered against him for violating the model code of conduct. It is alleged that Prashant Kishore reached Raghopur on Saturday with a convoy of hundreds of vehicles, due to which an FIR has been registered against him at the Raghopur police station in Vaishali district.

According to reports, the case was filed based on an application from the Circle Officer (CO) of Raghopur. On Saturday, Prashant Kishore launched his election campaign from Raghopur, Tejashwi Yadav's traditional constituency. A large crowd of party workers gathered to welcome him, and a long convoy of hundreds of vehicles accompanied him. Based on this, the administration has taken action, considering it a violation of the Model Code of Conduct.

Earlier, Prashant Kishore, who arrived in Raghopur on Saturday, launched a scathing attack on RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav. He claimed he would deliver an "Amethi-like defeat" to Tejashwi in his own constituency. Amidst a rousing welcome from supporters, PK said, "Your MLA has served as Deputy Chief Minister twice. Has he ever listened to your problems?" He also quipped that it's being said that Tejashwi Yadav may contest from two seats this time out of fear, but his fate in Raghopur will be similar to that of Rahul Gandhi in 2019.

However, when Prashant Kishor was asked whether he would personally contest against Tejashwi Yadav from Raghopur, he gave a vague answer. He said, "The Jansuraj Party's Central Election Committee will meet on Sunday. The most suitable candidate will be decided based on the feedback received from Raghopur. It's impossible to say right now whether that will be me or someone else." Now, with the election just around the corner, the filing of the case has further heated up Bihar politics.
