Fog-induced crash claims four lives, including father and son, after car hits parked truck

Mirzapur (The Uttam Hindu): Dense fog early Friday morning caused a major road accident on the Prayagraj-Varanasi highway. A Swift car traveling from Prayagraj to Varanasi lost control and crashed into a parked truck, crushing the truck driver and helper who were crossing the road. Four people, including a father and son, were killed in the accident.


Passersby were shocked to see bodies strewn across the road after the car collision. Police officers arrived at the scene immediately after receiving information and began rescue operations. All the bodies were taken into custody and sent for post-mortem examination.


The accident occurred near Bharat Petroleum on the Katka Highway in the Kachhwa police station area. A car traveling from Prayagraj to Varanasi suddenly lost control and collided with a parked truck. The impact was so severe that Shyamkrishna Yadav and his son Anurag Yadav, who were in the car, died on the spot.


At the same time, the truck driver and helper, who were returning to their truck after eating, were also hit by the car. The truck driver died on the spot, while the seriously injured helper died on the way to Bhadohi Divisional Hospital. The identities of the deceased truck driver and helper have not yet been established.


Upon receiving information about the accident, police removed the car from the truck, seized the three bodies, and began the post-mortem process. The driver was sent to the hospital, where he also died. CO Sadar Amar Bahadur stated that a total of four people died in the accident. Further necessary action is being taken.
