Manali (The Uttam Hindu): The sudden death of Veer Soren, grandson of former Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren, in the tourist town of Manali has raised several questions. According to initial information, Veer had arrived in Manali four days ago with friends for a trip. At first, it was suspected that his health deteriorated due to high altitude, but this has not been confirmed so far.

Reports state that on Tuesday morning, Veer felt unwell and did not go out with his friends. He stayed back at the homestay. When his friends returned in the afternoon, he complained of a headache. They reportedly ordered medicine online for him. After taking the medicine, he went to rest. Shortly after, a loud noise was heard from the room. When his friends entered, they found him lying on the floor beside the bed.

He was immediately taken to the Civil Hospital in Manali. It was reported that froth was seen coming from his mouth while being taken to the hospital. Doctors began treatment, but he could not be saved.

According to information, the statement of his friend Agnaya Verma, a resident of Uttar Pradesh, has been recorded by the police. The family members of the deceased reached Manali soon after.

Former Chief Minister Champai Soren also arrived in Manali by a hired helicopter. He declined to allow a postmortem examination and expressed his wish to take his grandson’s body home. The family later left with the body by helicopter.

DSP Manali KD Sharma stated that there were no visible injury marks on Veer’s body. Police are investigating the case from all possible angles. As the family refused, no postmortem was conducted.
