Dehradun (The Uttam Hindu): Helicopter booking for the Kedarnath Temple pilgrimage will begin from Saturday at 6 pm. According to officials, the administration and concerned agencies have completed all preparations to ensure a smooth and convenient journey for devotees. In the initial phase, tickets will be available for travel between April 22 and June 23.

Bookings can be made only through the official website of IRCTC. Online booking has been made mandatory to maintain transparency and prevent fraud.

Earlier, on April 2, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami met the chief priest (Rawal) of Kedarnath Dham, Shri Shri Shri 1008 Bhimashankar Ling, to discuss preparations for the Char Dham Yatra. During the meeting, the Chief Minister welcomed the priest and shared details about ongoing reconstruction and development work at the temple.

He stated that the state government is continuously working to improve infrastructure, safety measures, and facilities for pilgrims visiting the holy shrine. Special focus is being given to ensure the smooth and व्यवस्थित conduct of the Char Dham Yatra this year.

The Chief Minister added that authorities are focusing on crowd management, better connectivity, medical facilities, and disaster preparedness, considering the increasing number of devotees every year. Lessons learned from previous pilgrimage seasons are also being incorporated into current planning, with coordination among different departments to ensure efficient arrangements.

He emphasized that the government is committed to providing a safe, comfortable, and spiritually fulfilling experience for all pilgrims. Key aspects such as logistics, accommodation, sanitation, and emergency response systems were also discussed, keeping in mind the expected rise in pilgrim numbers this season.
