Home minister Amit Shah to innaugurate ₹825 crore Dairy unit in Haryana today

New Delhi (Uttam Hindu News): Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah will be on a visit to Haryana on Friday, where he will inaugurate the country's largest dairy production unit. Along with this, he will launch development projects worth Rs 825 crore in Rohtak and Kurukshetra. A spokesperson of the state government said that with the aim of promoting the cooperative sector, Home Minister Amit Shah will inaugurate the newly constructed Sabar Dairy Plant at IMT, Rohtak. Built at a cost of Rs 325 crore, state-of-the-art machinery has been installed in this plant, which the Union Minister will formally launch.


This dairy plant is India's largest unit for the production of curd, buttermilk and yogurt, with a daily production capacity of 150 metric tons of yogurt, 300,000 liters of buttermilk, 100,000 liters of yogurt and 10 metric tons of sweets. The facility is expected to generate direct and indirect employment opportunities for approximately 1,000 people.


The spokesperson further stated that Amit Shah will distribute tool kits to 2,200 artisans during the "Khadi Karigar Mahotsav" at Maharshi Dayanand University in Rohtak. Organized by the Khadi and Village Industries Commission under the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, the event's theme is "Self-reliance through Swadeshi."


During this event, he will distribute modern machinery and tool kits. He will also provide margin money worth ₹301 crore under the Prime Minister's Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP). This festival is an important step towards promoting indigenous handicrafts and the Khadi industry, ensuring the participation of local artisans.


In addition, he will inaugurate PMMY units and later address a gathering. In Kurukshetra, Home Minister Amit Shah will inaugurate a five-day exhibition on India's new criminal laws. This exhibition will help lawyers, students, parents, and ordinary citizens understand recent reforms in the criminal justice system.


The exhibition will showcase the changes and achievements brought about by the new laws, with the roles of seven different departments divided into 10 theme-based sections.
