Horrific road accident in Rajasthan, passenger bus collides with trailer, 6 killed
New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu)– A tragic road accident took place on Friday on a national highway near Sarwadi village in Rajasthan’s Balotra district, where a speeding sleeper bus rammed into a trailer moving ahead. Six passengers died on the spot, while several others sustained serious injuries in the collision.
According to eyewitnesses, the trailer was travelling on the highway when the bus approaching from behind suddenly went out of control and crashed into it. The impact severely damaged the front portion of the bus, leaving passengers trapped inside and causing panic at the scene. Local residents and passersby alerted the police and assisted in rescue efforts. After a prolonged operation, the trapped passengers were pulled out and six bodies were recovered and sent for post-mortem examination.
The injured were rushed to the district hospital for treatment, where some are reported to be in critical condition. The accident led to a major traffic disruption on the highway, which was later cleared by the traffic police. Authorities have begun an investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident.
