‘If I am murdered, SP will be responsible,’ MLA writes to Akhilesh Yadav

Kaushambi (The Uttam Hindu): Samajwadi Party MLA from Chail assembly seat of Kaushambi district of Uttar Pradesh, Puja Pal has written a letter to party president Akhilesh Yadav expressing the fear of her murder. She has written that if she is murdered, then Samajwadi Party and Akhilesh Yadav should be held responsible for it.

' If I am murdered, SP will be responsible…', this MLA wrote a letter to Akhilesh Yadav: MLA Pooja Pal wrote in the letter, "I have achieved the biggest goal of my life. My husband's murderers have been punished. Now even if I get death, I will feel proud." She alleged that Akhilesh Yadav left her humiliated in the middle of the road, which has increased the morale of the criminal supporters of the party.

In the letter, she said that she could also be murdered in the same way as her husband was murdered. She demanded from the administration that if this happens, then Samajwadi Party and Akhilesh Yadav should be held guilty. It is worth mentioning that Puja Pal was married to the then BSP MLA Raju Pal on 16 January 2005. Nine days after the marriage, on 25 January 2005, Raju Pal was shot dead in broad daylight. A case was registered against Atiq Ahmed and his associates in this case.

After the murder of Raju Pal, Puja Pal contested the by-election but lost. After this, she became MLA from BSP in 2007 and 2012. She lost the election in 2017, but was elected MLA from Chail seat on Samajwadi Party ticket in 2022.
